Trust and the appreciation of art

Does trust play a significant role in the appreciation of art? If so, how does it operate? We argue that does, and mechanics operate both at general particular level. After outlining notion ‘art-trust’—the sketched is consistent with most notions on market—and considering certain objections to model proposed, we consider specific examples show some detail experience works art, attribution art-relevant properties or characterisations very often involves trust; such cases—perhaps even, implicitly, all—the question ‘Do I artist (or art-maker)?’, inescapable.
